AGL SheerKote UV62

The first model in the AGL SheerKote liquid coating equipment line is the AGL UV62.

Recognizing the need for innovation in roll-to-roll liquid coating equipment, AGL has developed an industrial solution for dedicated roll-to-roll liquid coating.

The AGL SheerKote UV62 is a dedicated roll-to-roll liquid coater utilizing UV LED curing technology.  In keeping with AGL’s reputation for industrial design, the UV62 is capable of handling rolls up to 62” wide, 18” in diameter and weighing up to 1,000 lbs.

With run speeds up to 50 linear feet per minute, the UV62 will remove coating bottlenecks in your production line while also providing the shortest setup and breakdown times in the industry.

AGL has also engineered a line of coatings that have “universal” compatibility with Latex, UV and Solvent inks.

Benefits of the UV LED technology over UV Arc:

• 90% Power reduction compared to UV Arc Lamps
• 90% Carbon output reduction compared to UV Arc Lamps
• Lower operating temperature: the UV LED system in the AGL SheerKote UV62 only increased the material temperature by 10-25 degrees F (6-14 C).  UV Arc lamps typically increase material temperatures 70-90 degrees F (39-50 C).
• UV LED provides ~30,000 hours of service compared to ~900 with UV Arc.
• UV Arc lamps continuously lose curing power over the life of the lamp while UV LED will only lose ~3% of its’ curing power over the entire life of the lamp.
• UV LED allows for instant on/off compared to the several minutes required to warm up and cool down UV Arc lamps.
• UV Arc systems emit ozone which is a hazard for employees and requires costly ventilation systems.  The UV LED system in the AGL SheerKote UV62 does not emit any Ozone or VOCs, thus no costly ventilation is required.
