AGL Encore SH

AGL’s latest creation in customizing our laminators for use in 24/7 environments. This particular Encore SH laminator was custom designed for a Fortune 50 company that required an increase in production of their sheet fed label manufacturing division while maintaining a safe environment for their employees. AGL’s proprietary nip roll design with concentrically ground non-crowned nip rolls covered with silicon coverings suited this application perfectly. A custom in-feed table was designed for this application which demanded a centerline of machine reference point. A right- and left-hand threaded adjustment screw mechanism adjusts the width of the material being introduced around the center line of the machine prior to laminating. 

Safety features include hinged covers on the front and back side of the laminator interlocked to stop the drive of the machine as soon as they are lifted. This action automatically raises the nip roller and alleviates potential the threat of pinch points. This machine features 1 - 30 fpm operating machine speeds. Other standard features include:

• One cantilevered unwind supply shaft station
• Pneumatically controlled nip assembly with 3.0 nominal opening
• In-feed and out-feed tables that are quickly rolled into place and connected to the laminator with a tramming block coupling system connecting the tables square and in-line to the lamination process
• Rugged 6-inch diameter nip rolls with steel wall construction with silicone coverings
• Pulsed DC anti-Static control system
• RTS Brake - (Repeatable Tension Brake System) this allows for repeatable film tension settings
• Top nip roll features preset heat-assist for warming up pressure sensitive over-laminates resulting in a perfectly smooth output
